1920's Wedding Theme

I love the idea of a 1920's wedding and it seems that this is a really easy theme to pull off, keep everything classy and add touches of geometric design, lots of feathers and an unusual wedding dress.

The Table would be stylish and sleek with geometric table numbers and white feather/flower centrepieces, and white linen, I would add a flash of colour too, perhaps in teal or blue or even plum for something totally different.

The Dress would be a flapper style dress preferably in white with lots of detailing and a drop waist, (if I'm thin enough to pull it off).

The Hair is where I would go all out with a fabulous headpiece using lots of feathers and sparkle (courtesy of Mum I hope.....)

The jewellery would be pearls and very classy you could add earings, knecklaces, bracelets or broaches depending on the dress. I particularly like this bracelet watch so that the bride can keep track of the time through the day while still looking classy.

The invitations, save the dates and thankyou cards could either be inspired by the people, the jazz or the geometric patterns...
The bridesmaids would wear similar style dress to the bride. Both my sisters are very interested in fashion so they could have some fun with this theme and pick two different, perhaps slightly outrageous outfits.

The Venue would ideally be a 1920s building (or there about), this is to be discovered.......

  1. I love it - one of the best so far. The hair pieces the jewellry, we could have so much fun putting it together - you could even include peacock feathers if you wanted. I really love the idea.

  3. A drop waist hides a belly but you would need to be careful about length, there are lots of flapper dresses about - try one. A clever dressmaker would be able to alter the style slightly to suit any figure.
